Anthony Scaramucci, former White House communications director for Donald Trump, was scheduled to speak at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, on November 27, but was uninvited after threatening to sue one of the students at Tufts over a few op-ed pieces that student penned for the school’s newspaper.  MSN reported that student Camilo Caballero wrote some disparaging remarks about Scaramucci in The Tufts Daily regarding Scaramucci’s position on the advisory board for the university’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Scaramucci, a Tufts alumnus himself, felt his ethics were being called into question and that the student defamed him.

Scaramucci’s lawyer said Nov. 21 they would take legal action unless the graduate student and newspaper retracted “false and defamatory allegations of fact.”

Caballero says Scaramucci is trying to prevent him from using his First Amendment rights.

Scaramucci said Sunday he’s not limiting free speech, but he wants to defend himself against “factually inaccurate” attacks. ~ per MSN

The Boston Herald reported that Caballero’s two op-eds were written on November 6 and November 13 and are still posted in their original form on The Tufts Daily.  In those pieces, Caballero was arguing for Scaramucci’s removal from the college’s advisory board.
