Former Disney Channel child star Kyle Massey, now 29, is on the lam from police in Washington State after missing a court date yesterday to face a charge of immoral contact with a minor after allegedly sending pornographic materials in the form of “sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos” to a 13-year-old girl. Lest we forget, Massey co-starred in the role of Cory Baxter in Disney’s “That’s So Raven” and also starred in his own show, “Cory in the House.”

But after missing yesterday’s arraignment, a $100,000 warrant for his arrest was issued by a displeased judge in Washington.  And this is the second time he stood up the court, according to Newsweek

“Mr. Massey did not appear. A judge signed a $100,000 warrant for his arrest,” a representative for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office confirmed via People.

TMZ first reported on Massey’s charges, saying that the case involves explicit photos, videos and text messages that the actor allegedly sent to a teenage girl who is said to be a long-time acquaintance.

The family of that 13-year-old girl had already sued Massey back in 2019 and claimed that the child star was attempting to seduce their child in order to commit a lewd act. Massey denied those allegations and claimed that he was being extorted.

“No child should ever be exposed to sexually explicit materials and I unequivocally and categorically deny any alleged misconduct,” Massey said in a statement through his attorney at the time, via People.

“In early 2019, Plaintiff’s attorneys demanded $1.5M threatening to go public to destroy my career if I did not comply. My family and I rejected this extortion attempt, because I have faith that the legal process will reveal the truth.”  ~ Newsweek

The charge of immoral contact with a minor levied against Massey appears to be connected to the 2019 lawsuit brought against him by the 13-year-old girl and her family, according to Deadline.  The charge against Massey was filed in King County on June 14.

According to court documents, Massey has been charged with “intent to reach a minor, [and] did communicate with… a person believed to be a minor, for immoral purposes of a sexual nature” between December 2018 and January 2019. ~ MSN
