Update: Missing since April 8, Amber Alert issued for 12-year-old Carroll County boy
(Updated 4/13/2022) On April 11 around 5 p.m., the Maryland State Police announced issuing an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old boy, Maxx Geiger, who was reported missing from Carroll County, specifically from Hampstead, Maryland.
Police told WTOP that when Maxx did not show up for school, his mother contacted authorities to report him missing. He’s believed to be in the company of 35-year-old Christopher Geiger.
Specifics regarding Maxx Geiger’s Amber Alert are indicated below.
CHILD: Maxx Riley Geiger, White male, 5’-3”, 120 pounds, blonde hair and brown eyes.
FATHER: Christopher Lewis Geiger, White male, 6’-0”, 230 pounds, blonde hair and green eyes.
Vehicle: 2021 Jeep Wrangler, black in color.

LOCATION: Last physically seen 4/8/2022 in Hampstead, Carroll County, Maryland. The child may also be in the Westminster area of Carroll County.

Update: Maryland State Police located the missing 12-year-old child and his father in Carroll County after an extensive coordinated search ended in Carroll County.
Christopher Geiger, 35, of Hampstead, was taken into police custody without incident and 12-year-old Maxx was recovered unharmed at 10:40 a.m. on the morning of April 12. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation and consultation with the Carroll County State’s Attorney. Both father and child were evaluated on scene by emergency medical services personnel and later transported by ambulance to the Carroll Hospital Center for precautionary reasons.
