Salma Hayek and Ann Hathaway teaming up in ‘Seesaw Monster’ adaptation

On November 8, streaming service Netflix announced that the subscription-based home viewing service has secured the rights for Kotaro Isaka’s book Seesaw Monster.  Iconic luminaries Salma Hayek Pinault and Anne Hathaway and will be starring in the screen version of Seesaw Monster and will also be doubling as producers for the venture. Olivia Milch will be writing the screenplay,

“Details are being kept under wraps but Hathaway and Hayek Pinault will play rivals forced to work together in an action comedy two-hander,” according to Netflix.

Both of the actresses have been in the news lately with Julie Andrews vying for a third installment to The Princess Diaries, the popular film that Andrews and Hathaway starred together in back in 2001 with a sequel released in 2004.

And Hayek Pinault, in addition to having a stash of acting gigs recently released, also just celebrated her 56th birthday by sharing a bikini video of herself  to her Instagram followers.

Salma Hayek celebrated her 56th birthday with a boat ride — and a red-hot bikini.

The actress smiled and danced with a straw hat in her hand while on the watercraft in an Instagram video posted Friday.

“Happy 56th birthday to me!!!” Hayek captioned the sunny footage. “❤️💃💋 #alwaysgrateful.”  ~ Page Six

Hathaway can currently be seen in the new drama Armageddon Time from director James Gray, starring alongside Jeremy Strong and Anthony Hopkins.

Hayek is coming off four movies released in 2021 – Bliss, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Eternals and House of Gucci. She also starred in the 2022 BMW Super Bowl commercial as the goddess Hera, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Zeus.  ~ The Daily Mail
