Jennifer Garner is reprising her role as Elektra in Deadpool 3
The world was introduced to the cinematic version of Marvel studios’ Elektra character as portrayed by veteran actress Jennifer Garner back in 2003 when she co-starred in the film Daredevil starring Ben Affleck – who she ended up marrying and then divorcing after 15 years of wedded Hollywood bliss. Yesterday, Rolling Stone and other sources reported that Garner is reprising the Elektra role. “After a nearly 20-year hiatus, the actress is returning to the role of Marvel Comics’ assassin antiheroine for Deadpool 3.”
Following Garner as Elektra in the 2003 Daredevil film, she reprised that role a few years later starring in her own solo Elektra movie. Unfortunately, neither of those Marvel films fared well with critics, fans, or at the box office.

Deadpool 3 should be hitting the big screen in 2024.
The Marvel Studios production is currently shooting, with Ryan Reynolds reprising his fan-favorite part of the fourth wall-breaking Merc with a Mouth. Hugh Jackman has come out of Marvel retirement to play Wolverine once again. ~ The Hollywood Reporter
UPI reminded us that the highly anticipated Deadpool 3 will be a reunion of sorts for Garner, Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, who all worked together on the 2022 Netflix movie, The Adam Project.
Some film sources believe that Garner returning as Elektra in Deadpool 3 gives credence to the theories that the film will be revisiting the multiverse plotlines made popular in the earlier Dr. Strange and Spiderman Marvel films.
