$10K reward offered for information in finding Mayushi Bhagat, missing from Jersey City since 2019
Law enforcement officials in New Jersey are offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the location or recovery of missing college student Mayushi Bhagat, who was last seen leaving her Jersey City apartment on April 29, 2019. She was officially reported missing by family members on May 1, 2019. The FBI together with the Jersey City Police Department are asking for the public’s help in solving the mystery of Bhagat’s disappearance and offered up the $10,000 reward on December 14.
Now 29 years old, Mayushi was last seen during the evening hours leaving her apartment in Jersey City on April 29, 2019. She was wearing colorful pajama pants and a black t-shirt. Her family reported her missing to the police on May 1, 2019.
The FBI placed Bhagat on its “Most Wanted Kidnappings and Missing Persons” list back in 2022.
Bhagat’s father told The Times of India that he communicated with his daughter via WhatsApp at 12:30 a.m. on the morning of May 1. She told her father that she was “o.k. but will not return home until May 3rd.” she added that “she did not want to be bothered.”
The Jersey City Police were alerted. A group of amateur detectives on the website Websleuths took up the search. It was thought she might be in New York or South Plainfield with friends. Apparently, no one could find her. ~ The Jersey City Times
