Our friends with MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife responded to the scene and in a joint effort, got this massive guy to safety!

Coconut Point Mall is located in Estero, Florida; and those shopping in the area at the Southwest Florida mall got to witness the encounter between law enforcement and the monstrous prehistoric-looking creature as it went down.  To put the size and weight of this particular creature into perspective, “the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission’s website said the state record for the length of an American alligator was a 14-foot, 3-and-a-half-inch male pulled from Lake Washington in Brevard County,” according to WPTV.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office also said that the massive gator would be transported to safer waterways where it would be set free.
