Woman found shot dead in Tamarac home, police seek public’s help with investigation (Video)

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s help as they investigate the murder of a woman in Tamarac, Florida.  At approximately 11:43 p.m. on Friday, March 15, Broward County Regional Communications received a call regarding a shooting at a residence located at 4500 Northwest 45th Court in Tamarac. BSO deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to that call.

After arriving on the scene, deputies located an adult female, Janice Herbert, inside the residence, and she was suffering from a gunshot wound. The 53-year-old Herbert was pronounced dead on the scene.

BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate.
