Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelley, jailed for indecent exposure in Alabama
Grace Pauline Kelley, 27, the daughter of country music singer Wynonna Judd is currently behind bars in an Alabama jail on indecent exposure charges. Her arrest went down on April 5.
Charging documents state Kelley exposed her breasts and lower body at the busy intersection of Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook on Friday. When officers tried to arrest her, she would not identify herself and sat down on the roadside, refusing to comply with police. ~ AL.com
Tragically, this isn’t the young lady’s first brush with the law. In 2018, she was sentenced to eight years in prison for violating probation for an earlier criminal indiscretion. E-News reported, “It’s confirmed that Grace Pauline Kelley is serving an eight-year sentence at West Tennessee State Penitentiary,” East Tennessee public information officer Robert Reburn said. “Grace’s probation was revoked on February 8, 2018. Grace was given a eight year sentence for scheduled two drugs (meth) in June of 2016 and another four year sentence for evading arrest in July 2016.”
She was arrested again in 2021 on a probation violation connected to a 2016 possession of meth arrest. Last year, she was arrested for violating “an order of protection and restraining order and violation of parole.” This latest arrest could have serious consequences for her due to her history.
Grace is the daughter of Wynonna and Wynonna’s ex-husband Arch Kelley III. She has an older brother, Elijah Judd, 29, who was also born to Wynonna and Kelley. Wynonna and Kelley were married for two years and divorced in 1998.
The News quoted a source close to Wynonna who said, “Wynonna is very distraught over Grace’s arrest because she has been working so hard to reestablish her relationship with Grace. But she feels like there is nothing she can do anymore and she powerless.”
In addition to the indecent exposure charge, Grace was also charged with obstructing governmental operations – charges that were brough against her by the Millbrook Police Department. Her bond was set at $1,000 and she’ll be appearing in court tomorrow, April 11, to face charges stemming from Friday’s incident.
