Officials ask for help locating endangered man missing from Deerfield Beach

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate 27-year-old Alexander Acevedo missing from Deerfield Beach.

According to detectives, Acevedo was last seen at around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, near the 3500 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard. Acevedo weighs around 180 pounds. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and has black hair and brown eyes. Acevedo has a cross tattoo on his left arm.

According to his family, the man experiences mental illness which requires medication.
