Earlier this September, Ace News Today had the unpleasant task of writing about 14-year-old Colt Gray who shot and killed two teachers and two fellow students and injured nine others at Apalachee High School in Georgia on the morning of September 4 with an assault style rifle.  We followed that story up with the arrest of Colt’s father, Colin Gray, who the next day was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and cruelty to children for furnishing his son with that assault weapon as a Christmas present, by lied to law enforcement authorities and said that his son did not have access to that weapon. Well, this week, the Colt family picture darkened a bit more after learning that Marcee Gray (Colt’s mom and Colin’s ex-wife) was also arrested and charged with exploiting an elderly person in Georgia’s Ben Hill County.

Reportedly, Marcee had tied her own mother up to a chair and left her bound there for the better part of a day.

The indictment charging Marcee Gray stems from a domestic incident late last year, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper reported. It said a police incident report states Gray’s 74-year-old mother told authorities Nov. 4 that Gray had taken her phone, taped her to a chair and left her for nearly a full day.  ~ The Associated Press

On November 6, two days after tying up her mother, Marcee Gray was arrested by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.  Marcee was sentenced to 45 days in jail after pleading guilty to charges of criminal trespassing, using a license plate to disguise her car and causing property damage.

Marcee tied her mother up because she was reportedly angry because the mom, Deborah Polhamus, wouldn’t take a drive with Marcee to Barrow County, where she allegedly wanted to confront her ex-husband Colin Gray, who lived with their son, according to the Daily Express US.

“Deborah stated she refused to go and Marcee threw her up against the wall, causing a cut on her left wrist. Marcee stated that since Deborah wasn’t going she was going to tie her to a chair and take her phone so she wouldn’t call anyone.”

Marcee’s mother was slightly injured and bruised in that domestic altercation, and it’s still unclear what exactly Marcee wanted to confront Colin about, according to Fox News.  Marcee Gray was eventually charged with exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property and theft.
