November 23: Five shot in Baltimore City, one dead

Yesterday, Police reported that five people were shot on the streets of Baltimore City on Saturday, November 23.  It appears that three separate shootings went down yesterday, with five individuals getting shot.  One of the victims died a result of his wounds.

The three separate incidents involving the five victims are detailed below and occurred at the following locations:

  • 4900 block of Frankford Avenue – Baltimore – MD,
  • 5500 block of Hamlin Avenue – Baltimore – MD,
  • 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue – Baltimore – MD,

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On November 23, 2024, at approximately 9:36 p.m., a Northeast District officer was conducting a business check in the 5400 block of Radecke Avenue when he heard discharging. A 33-year-old male walked to the officer advising that he was shot in the leg. The officer rendered aid and placed a tourniquet on the victim’s leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was shot in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue. Northeast District shooting detectives have assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2444.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On November 23, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officers responded to the 5500 block of Hamlin Avenue for a call for discharging. Once on scene, Officers located an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives, at 410-396-2100. Northern District Shooting Investigation

On November 23, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue for a call of a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located two victims, a 26-year-old male and a 30-year-old female, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

A short time later, an additional victim, a 21-year-old male walked into an area hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation revealed that all three victims were shot inside a business in the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue. All of the victims are in critical, but stable condition.

Northern District Shooting detectives are investigating this incident and ask for anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2455. During October 2024, Baltimore recorded 14 homicides and 39 non-fatal shootings.  Thus far in November, shootings have been reported in Baltimore almost every day – with some days recording multiple shootings, according to WMAR-2 News
