Harford Co. appoints new Board of Education President, Joseph L. Voskuhl
In a statement released on July 18, our friends at Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) announced the immediate placement of Joseph L. Voskuhl as the new president of the Board of Education of Harford County. The official announcement was made during the Board’s July 17 business meeting. Voskuhl replaces Nancy Reynolds who was appointed to the Board in 2011 and was elected president in 2015. Reynolds had reached her term limit and will now serve as a general member of the Board. According to policy, Board members may not serve more than two consecutive years as president.
HCPS quoted new Board President Voskuhl as saying, “I am looking forward to working with all the Board members in addressing the issues facing the Board and moving our system forward.”
Additionally, Laura S. Runyeon was named as the new Board vice-president. “I am honored to be selected to serve in this position and am committed to working with Mr. Voskuhl and my fellow Board members to serve the best interests of our students, parents, employees, and all of our stakeholders,” said Board Vice-President Runyeon.
