Arrest made in Oakland Park massage parlor murder
Five days after a massage parlor employee arrived at her place of business to find her female co-worker deceased inside, Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives arrested the man they say committed the murder. The deceased woman discovered inside the Bing Bing Spa located at 771 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Oakland Park, Florida, was identified as 45-year-old Daying Li. The victim lived in Boca Raton.
Upon processing evidence collected from the scene by crime scene detectives, investigators obtained a lead in the case. That lead led them to the man whose picture they had circulated as a person of interest.
Through the investigation, detectives were notified of a possible location for the suspect. Homicide detectives requested the assistance of the BSO Gang Unit to help locate their target, 31-year-old Jacob Fought. Tuesday morning, Fought was spotted walking near the intersection of Commercial Boulevard and University Drive in Lauderhill and was taken into custody.
Fought was transported to the BSO Main jail where he will be booked on one count of first-degree murder.
The discovery of Li’s body happened around 10:43 p.m. on March 21st. Broward Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications received the call alerting about the unresponsive woman at the Bing Bing Spa in Oakland Park. Arriving deputies confirmed that Li was murdered.
