Amber alert issued for missing 5-year-old Jacksonville girl, Taylor Rose Williams
Earlier today, an Amber Alert was issued for a missing five-year old girl from a Brentwood-area neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. Officials are currently on the scene and spread liberally around the area of the 600 block of Ivy Street investigating the circumstances behind the missing little girl, who has been identified as Taylor Rose Williams. The child was last seen in her home around midnight on November 6.
Family members told investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, that upon waking this morning at 7:22 a.m., the child was not in her room – and the back door to the home was found unlocked.
Hundreds of police officers and detectives are searching the area at this time; and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s help in locating Taylor.
Taylor Rose Williams has been described as:
Age: Five-years-old
Height: 3”0 / Weight: 50 lbs
Eyes: Brown / Hair: Black (natural)
Clothing: Purple shirt and Pink Pajama pants (at bedtime)
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief T.K. Waters said that, “It’s very urgent that we find her as quickly as possible. We’ll work until we can’t work anymore.” The Chief said that Taylor is in danger due to her young age.
He said investigators are not ruling out any possibilities at this point, including that Taylor left the home on her own or was abducted. “We’re pulling out all the stops,” Waters said, according to News4JAX.
Anyone having seen or who may know anything about the whereabouts of Taylor is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office immediately at 904-630-0500.
