Original Story: This morning at 8:25 a.m., police in Miami-Dade tweeted, “We are seeking your assistance in locating Ernesto Caballeiro and his newborn infant son. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.”

Hours earlier on January 29, WPTV in South Florida reported that Caballeiro was last seen at a Miami-Dade County residence located in the 21900 block of Southwest 187th Ave.  Making the search for Caballeiro all that much more urgent, three women were discovered dead inside that residence and Caballeiro’s newborn infant was also reported missing from that home.

An Amber Alert went out regarding the baby boy this morning.  Police believe that the baby is in the company of his father, Ernesto Caballeiro.

He and the child may be traveling in a 2001, white Chevrolet Express with Florida tag number HETY13.

The vehicle has a decal of “Nesty School Services” on it. The vehicle is a passenger van. On the back left door there is a decal of “Caution: Transporting Children.”

Baby Andrew is reportedly only one week old, according to Local 10 News.  The father, Ernesto Caballeiro, 49, is related to one of the women found dead in that Southwest 187th Ave. home.

The three women were found in that residence on Tuesday afternoon by another relative. All three were shot to death. Police have not yet released the identities of the victims.

(Update: The victims have been identified as the newborn’s mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.)

“Ernesto Caballero, he’s related to the one or all three of the victims inside the house,” Miami-Dade police Detective Lee Cowart said.

Miami-Dade County property records show Caballeiro has owned the four-bedroom home, at 21981 SW 187 Ave., since 2005. ~ Local 10

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
