Armed and dangerous: Philadelphia teen sought in connection to quadruple shooting / murder
The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the male pictured above. Dayron Burney-Thorne, 16, has been identified as the person responsible in reference to a quadruple shooting / homicide that occurred on September 27 at approximately 4:41 p.m. on the 4700 block of Pechin Street.
The shootings occurred outside of Roxborough High School. Sources say Burney-Thorne is from North Philadelphia and that DNA analysis of that SUV tied to the shooting shows Burney-Thorne was likely the getaway driver. ~ CBS News
The city of Philadelphia is offering a reward of $45,000 leading to an arrest and conviction for this homicide. One teen was killed in the shooting and as many as four others were injured in the shooting.
Burney-Thorne, once a person of interest in the shooting / murder, is no longer just a person of interest but is now wanted on active arrest warrants for Murder, Multiple Counts of Attempted Murder, VUFA, Theft-RSP, Obstructing Justice, Tampering with Evidence and Criminal Conspiracy.
VUFA Note: Although not the worst of his charges, the penalties for breaking firearms laws in Pennsylvania are severe. For carrying a firearm without a license: VUFA 6106, carrying a firearm without a license, is a felony of the third degree. This charge could result in up to seven years in jail and a $15,000 fine.

According to 6-ABC News, the shooting went down “just as a junior varsity football scrimmage ended between three schools: Roxborough High School, Northeast High School and Boys Latin Charter School.”
The victim who died has been identified as 14-year-old Nicolas Elizalde of Havertown, Delaware County. He was a freshman at Saul High School but played football for Roxborough. Investigators have released disturbing video showing one of the five wanted gunmen, relentlessly firing at the teen boys.
