Arrest made in connection with November 7 shooting murder of Amanda Burket
On November 7 at approximately 2:27 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Fairhaven Avenue in Baltimore City. A 33-year-old female later identified as 33-year-old Amanda Burket was discovered inside an apartment, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Burket was pronounced dead at the scene.
By November 13, detectives with the BPD Warrant Apprehension Task Force Arrested 28-year-old Ashley Thorne of the 3800 block of Hanover Street in connection to that shooting. Detectives transported Thorne to the Central Booking Intake Facility where she was charged with the 1st degree murder of Amanda Burket.
A memorial service for Amanda is scheduled for today at Stallings Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m.
