Arrest make in Owings Mills hit and run fatality

Police arrested a suspect in the fatal pedestrian-involved hit-and-run crash of a man on South Dolfield Road in Owings Mills.

The pedestrian, identified as Maxie Henry Roldan, 42, of the 200 block of Erin Way, Owings Mills, was walking westbound in the road in the 10200 block of South Dolfield Road near Painters Mill Road around 12:30 a.m. on February 28 when a white box truck struck him. The truck stopped briefly, but then continued westbound on South Dolfield Road.

Roldan was transported to Sinai Hospital where he died the following day.

Rovyn Joel Prudencio-Banegas, 35, of the unit block of Richmar Road, Owings Mills, was arrested and charged yesterday. He is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
