Baltimore man sought in home invasion and murder of beloved Catonsville YMCA director
On November 5, 2019 at approximately 9:42 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at a home in the 4800 block of Clifton Avenue in Baltimore City. Upon arrival, officers located 31-year-old Jordan Taylor who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. Taylor was transported to the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma where he would die from his injuries a short time later.
Officials said Taylor and his wife Twila were sitting in their living room when they heard someone trying to open the door. Taylor [pressing his body against the door] tried to keep them from prying the door open with a crowbar, at which point the group began shooting through the door and front window. ~ CBS in Baltimore
Jordan Taylor was the beloved sports director at the Catonsville YMCA. Four suspects were identified in Taylor’s home invasion and murder. On February 12, WBAL-TV reported that Baltimore Police arrested three of those murder suspects.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, 48-year-old Aaron Butler of Elkridge, Maryland, 46 year-old Donta Holdclaw of the 1200 block of Bentalou Street in Baltimore, and 27 year-old Elease Frazier of the 400 block of E. Lorraine Avenue in Baltimore have been arrested. The three have been charged with 1st Degree Murder plus a variety of additional charges in connection with Taylor’s murder.
Although three of the four suspects are now in custody, as of this writing one suspect still remains at large.
Kahlil “Lil” Madden, 27, of the 2600 block of Queen Anne Road, Baltimore, is being sought with an open warrant on the charge of 1st Degree Murder.
Police said the killing was a planned robbery, but the suspects targeted the wrong person.
“From what we know, this case was basically a mistake. It was a robbery. They conspired to rob someone, not Mr. Taylor,” Baltimore police Detective Donny Moses said. ~ WBAL-TV
The ATF is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of Madden. Anyone with any information about Madden is asked to call the ATF at 800-ATF-GUNS, (800-283-4867).
