‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’: Marvel blockbuster comes to Disney+ February 1
It’s been a long time coming, but the block buster hit Black Panther sequel, Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is finally coming to the small screen and is scheduled for streaming on Disney+ beginning February 1. And for the film purists out there, Wakanda Forever can still be found in some large screen theaters, according to CBS News.
The long-awaited sequel did not disappoint at the box office. xFire shared that as of January 1, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had hauled in $431.5 million domestically, which beat out Wonder Woman ($412.8 million) and Captain Marvel ($426.8 million).
Synopsis: In Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, ruler of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.
King Namor McKenzie, a.k.a. the Sub-Mariner, is the current ruler of Atlantis. Born as a mutant-hybrid son of a human father and an Atlantean princess, Namor has pale skin, unlike his Atlantean brethren (who usually have blue skin). To the surface dwellers, he is sometimes their ally, sometimes their enemy, for Namor’s true allegiance is to Atlantis and its people. ~ per Marvel Fandom
