Boy missing for 6 months found nailed up in attic crawl space, mom and boyfriend arrested
Back on August 3, 2018, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri issued a missing child report for six-year-old Bradence Christian Jones. Officials described the young boy as a white male, weighing 36 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, red cut-off sweatpants and Batman sandals.
Authorities always felt that child’s mother, Aubrey Ferguson, 30, and Ferguson’s boyfriend, Woodrow Allen Ziegler, 41, had something to do with the boy’s disappearance.
On January 8, 2019, a six-month search for Braedence concluded.
Acting on information received by the United States Marshals Service Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Laclede County Detective Division was able to obtain a search warrant for a residence in Laclede County, Missouri, that was executed at approximately 4:35 pm.
The task force has been working with the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies for several months in hopes of getting a lead that would assist them in finding the missing child. The Laclede County Detective Division has been in frequent contact with Camden County Sheriff’s Office due to sightings reported in the City of Stoutland and Laclede County.
The mother, Aubrey Ferguson of Camdenton, Missouri, and her boyfriend, were arrested on January 8 after the search warrant was executed by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department and the United States Marshals Service Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force.
Ferguson and her boyfriend were hiding the child in an attic crawl space that had been nailed shut and concealed. Ferguson was with the child in the crawl space when discovered.
Ferguson is being held on a warrant for child abduction out of Camden County as well as a Capias Warrant out of Crawford County. Additional charges are being sought out of Laclede and possibly Camden Counties.
Braedence has been returned to his father.
