Homicide detectives said the subjects being sought for their involvement in the shootings that claimed the life of Giovante Linder and hurt two others are considered armed and dangerous.
Background: Shortly after 10:30 p.m., on Friday, May 19, BSO district deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to a report of shots fired near the 600 block of Northwest 19th Street in Pompano Beach. After arriving on the scene, deputies located two victims and administered life-saving measures until Pompano Beach Fire Rescue arrived.
Paramedics transported two of the victims to a local hospital where one was later pronounced deceased. That deceased victim has now been identified as Giovante Linder. The third victim was brought to an area hospital by a private vehicle.
BSO’s preliminary investigation revealed that the three victims were outside of a residence when they were shot by subjects in a dark, four-door vehicle. The two male shooting victims that survived are having their identities withheld due to Marsy’s Law. As of now, their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.Â
