Capital Heights man arrested in connection with January 4 murder on Baltimore’s North Eutaw Street

On January 26, police in Baltimore City announced the arrest of a man suspected of a homicide that occurred on January 4 in Baltimore’s central district.  Police identified their homicide suspect as 24-year-old Tanare Williams of Capital Heights, Maryland.

During the course of their investigation, police learned that Williams fatally shot 31-year-old Antoine Johnson during an altercation inside the Unit block of North Eutaw Street. On January 4, at approximately 12:09 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Central District officer was advised by a citizen of a shooting victim in the unit block of North Eutaw Street.  Once there, officers located an unidentified male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  That gunshot victim was later identified as Antoine Johnson.

On January 22, Warrant Apprehension detectives took Tanare Williams into custody and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
