Captured: Florida fugitive Michael Dyne, wanted on felony battery, explosives and weapons charges
Yesterday, Florida’s Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) shared the news and some photos of fugitive Michael Christopher Dyne’s arrest. Last week, the Sheriff’s Office featured the wanted man on their “Fugitive Friday” video. The 33-year-old Dyne was wanted for two counts of violation of probation for manufacturing explosive devices and a weapons violation. A few years back, his last known address was in Middleburg – and his most recent whereabouts have been attributed to him still being in that area, according to Newsbreak.

In addition to his probation violation charges, CBS Action News reported that Dyne was scheduled to make his first court appearance today on a variety of new charges, including:
- Carrying concealed weapon – unlicensed firearm,
- Explosives – possessing make or attempt to make destructive device, and
- Felony Battery
Dyne is no stranger to law enforcement officials in Clay County. Back in 2020, Clay Today Online reported that Dyne, then 31, was arrested after his father said that his son had pressed a gun to his head on July 20, 2020. When Deputies arrived at Dyne’s Middleburg home, Deputies said that they arrested him – and he was wearing a homemade tactical vest at the time.
A search of his car found a CO2 explosive device, brass knuckles, a handgun, a plastic tube with a green fuse, two baseball bats and four knives. Following that arrest, Dyne was arrested on charges of:
- aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony,
- two counts of making and possessing a destructive device,
- carrying a concealed weapon or electronic device, and
- violation of the concealed weapon law, after deputies found that cache of weapons in his car.
