Cops identify and are looking for Edgewood man suspected of murdering Joshua Dwayne Crouse

This just in . . . Harford County Detectives have identified a suspect in the November 1 shooting murder of Joshua Dwayne Crouse and announced that they are trying to locate 16-year-old Anthony Lamar Martin, Jr., of Siwanoy Drive, in Edgewood, Maryland.

Anyone with information regarding Martin’s whereabouts is asked to call 911. If you see him, do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.

On Friday, November 1, at approximately 3:19 a.m., Harford County deputies were in the area of Edgewater Village during a proactive foot patrol when they heard a single gunshot that came from the area of Grempler Way and Brookside Drive. Deputies immediately responded to that area, and at approximately 3:21 a.m., located an adult male victim, identified as Joshua Dwayne Crouse, 40 of Joppa, in the roadway in the 1800 block of Grempler Way.

Deputies immediately began life saving measures in an effort to save his life. Medics with the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to assume treatment and pronounced him dead at 3:50 a.m.

Organizers of a GoFundMe memorial and fundraiser in Crouse’s name, said that the shooting occurred during an attempted robbery and that Joshua died without any life insurance.

According to his obituary, Crouse was born in Havre de Grace, and is survived by his parents, Michael D. and Patricia S. (Dotson) Crouse, Sr.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Joshua Crouse, Jr. and Alexis Kuzma; brothers, Michael, Jr., Timothy, Shannon and Adam Crouse and his sisters, Angela Godwin, Sabrina Crouse, Michelle Benser and Penny Hodge.
