Yesterday, the Maryland State Police reported that they are searching for four armed and dangerous men who forced their way into a home in North East, Maryland, on April 25 and violently assaulted a pregnant woman inside her apartment before fleeing the area.  The search is also on for these armed assailants in the neighboring states of Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Police say that they feel that the home invasion and the assault were not random acts of violence but that this home and the residents were specifically targeted.

Investigators believe the primary suspect pictured in the images provided, along with at least three others, were involved in the armed home invasion that occurred in an apartment complex in the North East area of Cecil County. Police say the suspect(s) brandished handguns and violently assaulted a pregnant woman inside her apartment.

“It was violent in the sense that there was a pregnant woman there in the apartment, and she was kicked in the stomach and had to be transported to the hospital,” said Elena Russo, spokesperson for the Maryland State Police.

“So right now, police are not just combing all of the leads that they are getting in Maryland, but also looking into Pennsylvania and Delaware because they are really having a tough time finding these suspects,” said Russo.  ~ per WBAL-TV

Investigators are seeking the assistance of citizens in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania to help identify the assailants. Citizens are urged to contact the Maryland State Police via phone at 410-996-7814 or 410-996-7800 with any information.

Police said that the suspects in this case should be considered armed and dangerous.
