Cops nab burglar responsible for multiple burglaries in Towson
Beginning on May 7, police in Baltimore County started investigating thefts reported from several cars and vehicles in the Falls Road, Ruxton Road and Charles Street sections of Towson, Maryland.
On May 14, police reported that their investigation revealed that between the times of 5 p.m. and 11 a.m., a man from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, identified as Christopher Allen Kidd, 40, of Offshore Lane in Berlin, drove a stolen Honda Civic to the Towson areas and stole various items from parked cars.
Many of the cars were parked in residential areas and had been left unlocked by their owners. Kidd used several credit cards stolen from the victims at businesses in Baltimore.
On May 12, Kidd was arrested after a traffic stop in Baltimore City while driving the Honda. He was charged with the following:
- 1 count of theft $1,500 to under $2,500
- 2 counts of theft $100 to under $1,500
- 1 count of theft less than $100
- 4 counts of fourth-degree burglary theft
- 6 counts of rogue and vagabond
Kidd was released on his own recognizance after posting a $3,000 bond.
Police want to remind all citizens to always lock your car doors and remove any visible and valuable items. Thefts from autos are crimes of opportunity that you can prevent.
