Cops need help identifying Tamarac porch pirate caught on video stealing mail and package (Video)

On November 4, Detectives with Florida’s Broward Sheriff’s Office, Tamarac District, issued a plea to the public for help in identifying and locating a porch pirate caught on camera.

The crime occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, October 23, near the 5400 block of Northwest 26th Terrace in Tamarac. Video surveillance of the crime shows a blue sedan driving past the victim’s residence heading southbound on Northwest 50th Street. The same car is then seen reversing northbound on Northwest 50th Street before coming to a complete stop in front of the victim’s home. 

Suspect description:  Once parked, a female subject wearing a white T-shirt with the band “AC/DC” written on the front, black shorts, black boots, sunglasses, and a yellow necklace can be seen exiting the driver’s side door and walking up to the victim’s front porch. The female is then caught on camera removing mail from the victim’s mailbox and stealing a package from in front of the home. The porch pirate is then seen walking back to the vehicle, placing the items in the back seat before entering the driver’s seat and taking off southbound. 

The thief is described as a female with brown hair, between 20 and 30 years of age, with a thin build, weighing approximately 120 to 140 pounds. According to investigators, the subject appears to have multiple tattoos that were observed via the camera footage. Tattoos are seen on her right ankle and on both of her thighs, arms and forearms. Detectives identified one of the tattoos as an hourglass on the subject’s right thigh.
