Cops searching for white pickup associated with Florida woman missing since 2018
It’s been four long years since the mysterious and still unexplained disappearance of Vero Beach, Florida’s Susy Tomassi. Posters and flyers seeking the public’s help in finding her still adorn shop windows to this day. And the local authorities have not forgotten her.
Detectives at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office still continue their years-long investigation into the search for Susy. They are working to identify the driver of a white pickup truck that Tomassi was last seen getting into.
Tomassi, who was 73 when she went missing, was last seen on March 16, 2018, at 6:04 p.m. in the south end of South Vero Square Plaza, 810 S. US 1 in Vero Beach. An hour earlier, around 5 p.m., Susy had just left the Quilted Giraffe restaurant on foot.

Detectives need to speak with the driver of the truck, who might be able to shed light on Susy’s disappearance. It is possible that customers who frequent the plaza or employees who worked in the plaza at that time might know the driver or be able to provide details that could lead to the driver’s identification.
The truck was seen in the plaza several times prior to Tomassi going missing. The truck was also known to frequent the Oslo Road Conservation Area nearby.
