Cops want to I.D. suspects who attacked a police officer in full uniform on Detroit’s Westside
On Saturday, the Detroit Police Department went on Facebook Live to post the pictures of two suspects who attacked an off-duty Detroit Police Officer who was in full uniform at the time of the incident. The assault went down on Detroit’s Westside at approximately 5:30 p.m. at a gas station located in the 18100 block of Joy Road. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating these two brazen suspects.
The two wanted men tried to steal the officer’s gun during the attack; but the officer was able to recover his service weapon. According to the Detroit PD, the officer used “incredible restraint during the incident, not firing a single shot since other civilians were nearby.”
Both suspects fled on foot and are considered armed and dangerous.
