‘Cruella’ now available on Disney+ at no extra charge
When the Disney+ streaming service first premiered “Cruella” to kick off their summer blockbuster season back in June, it premiered only through their premium service. Which meant when subscribers clicked on the film for viewing, they could only access the film after paying an additional $29.99 over and above their regular monthly charge. But good news! If you are a Disney+ subscriber, the film is now available as part of your regular monthly package at no extra cost.
Brilliant. Bad. A little bit mad. Hello, Cruel World. Starting Friday, August 27, Disney+ subscribers will be able to enjoy the movie event that kicked off the summer, Disney’s “Cruella.” All the fun, fashion and edge served up by Academy Award® winners Emma Stone and Emma Thompson will be available for streaming again and again, exclusively on Disney+.
“Cruella” Synapsis:
American sweetheart and Academy Award winner Emma Stone stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets.
One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.
“Cruella” stars Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Mark Strong. Catch it now on Disney+. And if you’re not a Disney+ subscriber, you can at least catch the most recent trailer, below the slideshow accompanying this article
