Yesterday, the legal counsel for D.C. rapper Noah Settles, a.k.a. “No Savage,” announced that his 23-year-old client was sentenced to three years in prison for opening fire inside a Tysons Corner Center mall just over a year ago in 2022.

The judge also gave Settles, who entered a guilty plea to four felony charges in February, 10 years of supervised probation and said Settle cannot go to the mall again.

Settles faced a maximum sentence of 33 years. The three years was the mandatory minimum.  ~ MSN

Background:  According to the Fairfax County Police Department, four days following the June 18, 2022, shooting, the Washington, D.C. rapper turned himself in to the authorities at the Adult Detention Center in Fairfax. He was then held without bond. Settles had arrest warrants out for him in connection to the June 18 shooting that occurred at Tysons Corner Center in McLean.

Officers were called just before 3 p.m. for reports of shots fired inside the mall. When officers arrived, witnesses directed them to the second level where a fight broke out that led to a brandishing. The groups dispersed and re-engaged a short time later. Police reported that three rounds had been fired.

Officers cleared the mall and reported that, “fortunately, no individuals were struck by the gunfire.”  Three local citizens did require medical attention for injuries sustained while fleeing the shopping center.

Detectives spoke to multiple witnesses, reviewed surveillance and cell phone footage and were able to determine that Settles brandished the firearm and later fired at the rival group near a second-floor kiosk. Both groups ran away after the shooting.

Leading up to his arrest, Settles was charged with attempted malicious wounding, three counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied building and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
