Yesterday, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO) announced that deputies and detectives executed a narcotics search warrant earlier this week at 3 Amigos Road in DeBary, Florida, where they discovered 14 individuals living inside a deplorable structure with makeshift electrical lines powered by a generator.  Leading up to the search and arrests at the domicile, the Sheriff’s Office had received numerous complaints and tips about the house, including complaints from the Mayor and City Manager of DeBary.

VSO reported launching an investigation in August. Multiple buys of methamphetamine and heroin occurred at the residence. A search warrant was obtained, and members of VSO SWAT, the West Volusia Narcotics Task Force, the Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team and Volusia Bureau of Investigation coordinated execution of a search warrant that resulted in 6 arrests.

City code enforcement and the building official responded to the scene at the request of the WVNTF.  The residence was deemed an uninhabitable structure due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions. DeBary officials barricaded the property and boarded up all the windows and doors.
