On Monday, the Houston Police Department reported that remains identified as belonging to 25-year-old Taylour Young of Houston, Texas, were found in the trunk of his car at an impound lot in Dallas. Young has been missing since December 9, when police say that he was last seen in Houston driving his 2019 Silver Honda Civic, according to MSN. Police also say that his corpse was found in “an advanced state of decomposition,” and they have no explanation how his car ended up hundreds of miles away in Dallas – or how he ended up in the trunk.
Tiffany Robinson, Young’s mother, said she started getting worried about her son when he stopped responding to her texts on the day that he went missing. Using a tracking app, she was able to track the location of his phone and found it in some bushes near an ATM. According to KHOU, the mom believes that Taylour was running errands on his lunch break on December 9 when he went missing.
Robinson told NBC affiliate KPRC of Houston that her son was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and that he worked in accounting.
The last text between mother and son was a photo of his beloved dog Gigi.
“As I shared Taylour’s disappearance with the world, I want to share my worldly loss as well. I lost my son, my baby, my friend; and will raise his love, his dog Gigi,” Robinson wrote on Instagram as she announced his death.
She said she will not be answering questions as the family mourns and police continue their investigation.
