Delaware murder suspect on the run, and police seek help locating him

(Updated June 13, 2023) Yesterday, law enforcement officials in the state of Delaware announced that they were seeking the public’s assistance with locating 27-year-old Alan Alancantara of Bridgeville, Delaware, who is wanted for Murder.

On June 9 at approximately 11:14 p.m., the Bridgeville Police Department was dispatched to 309 Cedar Street, Bridgeville for a missing person complaint. The ensuing investigation revealed a 52-year-old male who resides at the residence with two others, could not be located and there were signs of a violent confrontation in the house. Upon the reporting person responding home, he observed one of the occupants of the residence, identified as Alan Alancantara flee the scene in a 2006 blue Honda Civic.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation and is attempting to locate the missing person. Through crime scene examination and further investigative leads, investigators identified Alan Alancantara as the suspect, and obtained an arrest warrant for Murder First Degree.

Alancantara is believed to be operating a 2006 blue Honda Civic, similar to the picture below.

Police did not share the identity of the 52-year-old missing person and said that they wouldn’t be releasing any additional details of their investigation at this time.
