Denver cops need help identifying armed bank robber, the ‘Glamour Shot Bandit’
Authorities in Denver, Colorado, are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending an armed and dangerous female bank robber dubbed by the FBI as the “Glamour Shot Bandit.” The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Denver Police Department report that the culprit has robbed the following banks at the following Denver locations on the dates and times specified:
- Vectra Bank, 3600 Quebec Street, Denver, Colorado, March 22, 2019, 4:00 p.m.
- Key Bank, 6405 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado, April 1, 2019, 4:26 p.m.
- Key Bank, 3410 East 1st Avenue, Denver, Colorado, April 5, 2019, 5:05 p.m.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black female, approximately 5’4” to 5’5” tall, slender build, and between 20 to early 30’s in age.
During the robberies the suspect wore heavy makeup, large hats, gloves, and large sunglasses in an effort to conceal her identity. During the robbery that occurred on April 5, 2019, the “Glamour Shot Bandit” escalated by displaying a handgun.
Officials are asking all citizens to be on the lookout for anyone matching the suspect’s description. Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
