Desperate search for missing Jacksonville children continues into day two
Update: Both children were found safe in the woods near their home. They clung to the search party that found them, and asked for some cheese pizza. See the video below.
Original post: We’re coming up on the 48-hour mark regarding the two young children who reportedly went missing while playing in their front yard in the 10200 block of West Beaver Street in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday, December 15, around 11:30 a.m. One of the two missing children, the 6-year-old boy, is said to be on the Autism Spectrum but will communicate with others.
The children have been identified as:
- Braxton Williams, 6 years old, last seen wearing a red sweater and blue jeans; and
- Bri’ya Williams, 5 years old, last seen wearing a gray sweater with multi-colored writing on it
“We’re not going to spare any expense, the search will continue throughout the night as it’s going right now until we find these children,” Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Christian Hancock said at a press conference Sunday evening. “We’re searching ponds, we’re searching trash cans, we’re searching everything.” ~ ABC News
Officials asked the community to remain vigilant and to be cautious when driving in the area of 10200 West Beaver Street. Police also asked those residents to “please search your property, including under mobile homes and in sheds and garages. If you require assistance, contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.”
Police have also asked everyone to please share pictures of the missing children.
Anyone having seen or knows the whereabouts of these children is asked to immediately call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
