Disrespectful teen with no ride to work starts waving a gun around his mom
A young Florida man was taken into custody by deputies with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) on Friday after getting out of bed and then waving a gun around his mother when realizing he didn’t have a ride to work. The arrest went down around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Aukemya Dillard of Vero Beach, got angry with his mom and started waving around a firearm. When the mother threatened to call the police, the irate son said he would shoot her if she did. During the altercation with his mother, Dillard also managed to bust up a microwave.
When responders arrived at the residence, the mother told them that the teen left the home wearing his tie-dye shirt; but when Dillard saw the deputies, he walked back to the residence.
A Glock Model 48 – one that had previously been reported stolen by the Sebastian Police – was recovered at the scene.
Dillard was arrested and is looking at being charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest without violence.
As of yesterday, he was being held at the Indian River County Jail on a $51,000 bond.
