Donald Trump on Liz Cheney: ‘… you know, when the guns are trained on her face’
It’s no secret that an increasing number of respected life-long Republicans are “choosing country over Party” and not only abandoning Donald J. Trump in his bid for the 2024 presidency but are taking it a step further and voting for Kamala Harris, a Democrat, for president. One notable Republican who is voting for Harris and actively campaigning for her, is former U.S. Congresswoman Liz Cheney – the daughter of former Republican Vice-President Dick Cheney.
It’s also no secret that Donald Trump is becoming increasingly unhinged and loose-lipped in the last few days leading up to November 5; and his usual fiery rhetoric is becoming more violent. Last night in an interview with Tucker Carlson, Trump sat on a stage in Arizona and basically said the former House Representative should be facing a firing squad.
When Carlson asked how he felt about Liz Cheney campaigning for Harris, Trump said:
“You know they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, Ooh gee, well, let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy,” Trump said.
“Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay. Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.” ~ The Atlantic
And just a few hours ago, MSNBC on X shared Liz Cheney’s response to Trump’s remarks, saying, “This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten those who speak against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant.”

The Trump campaign doubled down on the comments earlier today and accused the media of stoking anger just before Election Day, according to CBS News.
Opinion: Trump’s violent comments regarding Cheney, a woman, a public servant, a highly respected former U.S. Congresswoman, were over the top and crossed the line – even for Donald Trump – and once again prove that he has no business running for any public office, especially that of the President of the United States.
