Actress and former child star Drew Barrymore, now 45, has been in the public eye and entertaining us on the big screen since co-starring as the adorable seven-year-old in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, released in 1982. We followed her through her childhood drug and alcohol problems and watched as she cleaned up, grew up, and came into her own, entertaining the masses with films like Poison Ivy (1992), Boys on the Side (1995), Mad Love (1995), Scream (1996), Ever After (1998), The Wedding Singer (1998), 50 First Dates (2004) and Blended (2014).
Most recently, she starred in the horror-comedy television series “Santa Clarita Diet” which ran on Netflix for three seasons from 2017 through 2019.
Barrymore’s next big project will be “The Drew Barrymore Show” premiering September 14 on CBS, according to MSN. A genius marketing tool for her upcoming daytime talk show, made possible through the magic of television and viewed a few million times on Instagram, shows the 45-year-old present day Drew Barrymore interviewing her younger self when she was only seven years old.
Whoever decided to give Drew Barrymore her own talk show just may have been a genius.

The interview between the two Drews shows the younger Barrymore as she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” back in 1982.
ET Online quoted the elder Barrymore as saying:
“[S]hooting this clip was so fun and a little emotional as my own 7 year old daughter Olive sat in as my 7 year old self,” Barrymore wrote Thursday on Instagram. “So, I am actually speaking to her too. I cannot wait to share this show with you. It is so personal to me and I’m grateful and proud of the journey it took us all to get this made!”
In her promo, Barrymore says that her daily show will be “celebrating life” for an hour every day.
