Dundalk woman punches boyfriend, then goes after him with a knife in each hand
Police in Baltimore County arrested 29-year-old Jessica Brooke Mentzell after stopping her from going after her boyfriend while she was brandishing a knife in each hand. The assault went down in Dundalk, Maryland, on the evening of April 22.
Officers responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Paulette Road in Dundalk at 9:30 p.m. after receiving a complaint about an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 28-year-old man, and his girlfriend were involved in a dispute which led to her punching him. She then picked up knives that were nearby and threatened him.
Arriving officers heard screaming and entered the apartment. They saw Mentzell holding a knife in each hand and advancing towards her boyfriend. The police ordered her to drop the weapons and she was arrested without incident.
Mentzell, who is also from that same address on Paulette Road, was taken into custody following that domestic violence assault and charged with first and second-degree assault. She was transported to the Baltimore County Detention Center where she was being held on a no bail status.
