On the evening of September 22, detectives with the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force in Volusia County, Florida, spotted known methamphetamine dealer, Enrique “Chino” Vilomar, driving on LPGA Boulevard near Clyde Morris Boulevard. Detectives familiar with Vilomar knew that he did not have a valid driver’s license.
Detectives followed Vilomar and eventually approached him in the parking lot of the Integra Shores apartment complex. A K-9 officer alerted detectives to the presence of narcotics on or within his vehicle.
During the search of Vilomar’s car, detectives recovered the following items:
- 28.7 grams of Methamphetamine
- One 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun
- 557 rounds of ammunition
- Narcotic paraphernalia (digital scale with meth residue, smoking devices, etc.)
Vilomar was charged with armed trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid driver’s license. As of yesterday, he was still in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $576,000 bond.
Vilomar was previously involved in a standoff with Volusia Sheriff’s Office SWAT at the Tropical Gables Motel in Holly Hill in December 2020.
