Female passenger assaults Frontier Airlines attendant on flight from Denver to Tampa
An unruly and belligerent passenger flying Frontier Airlines yesterday on Flight 708 from Denver to Tampa, reportedly attacked a Frontier flight attendant with an intercom phone. Local 10 News in Florida reports that on Sunday, May 21, “the female passenger became belligerent onboard and was asked to deplane. As she was deplaning, she picked up an intercom phone and struck a flight attendant with it.”
Denver Police said the passenger was taken uinto custody, cited for assault in connection with the incident and was able to book another flight home after being released.
The incident ended up holding up the flight for about four hours in Denver. The 12:55 a.m. flight out of Denver didn’t leave the tarmac until 5:30 a.m., according to CBS News in Colorado. As of this writing, the combative woman hasn’t been identified. Another passenger from that flight told CBS that the problems began when the disruptive female passenger was making unwelcome attempts to switch her seat. “Despite being asked to return to her assigned seat, she refused to comply, according to the witness.”
KUSA-TV in Denver shared the Denver Police Department as saying that following her arrest, the woman was charged with assault and then released. Police in Denver also helped her book a different flight to Florida.
