Florida man arrested for making death threats to Donald Trump on social media

On Monday, March 17, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, in partnership with the U.S. Secret Service, executed a search warrant at 3508 Metzger Road in Fort Pierce, Florida, in an effort to catch up and arrest a man making live video social media death threats against Donald Trump.
The individual making those death threats against the president has been identified as 42-year-old Kendal Aaron Todd, who was apprehended and charged with Written Threats to Kill or Do Bodily Harm. His bond is set at $500,000.00.
The law enforcement investigation revealed that Todd posted threatening messages on his public social media page, in which he expressed intentions to cause bodily harm to Donald Trump.
WPBF in Palm Beach County shared some excerpts from Todd’s rantings directed against the president:
“What’s up everyone? How are you doing today?” Kendal Todd said at the beginning of the video on his social media page.
(He then went straight into his verbal attacks on Trump.)
“Because of Donald Trump, every single person in the world is cursed,” Todd said. “Donald Trump is the Antichrist!”
(The video is laced with profanities and is often confusing, according to WPBF)
“Donald Trump has personally made business decisions which have hurt so many different reincarnated Jesuses,” Todd said.
(Toward the end of the 80-second video, Todd’s message to the president goes from confusing to threatening.)
“Fight me naked to the death!” Todd said. “I’m going to cut you up with a chainsaw and put you in acid.”
For about a week leading up Todd’s death threats, St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro said that his team had actually been watching Todd – as they were concerned for his mental health. The threatening video he posted to his social media page made it necessary for law enforcement officials to bring him in.
The Sheriff’s Office said that their investigation is being conducted in coordination with federal authorities, and that the investigation remains active at this time.
An individual who claims to know Todd posted the following statement to the St. Luci County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page:
This is what drugs can do to anyone of us. I’ve known Kendall since he was a baby. He is talented, smart & loving. To watch his plunge into hell, driven by narcotics, has been gut wrenching & heart breaking. His family worked hard to get him the help he so desperately needed over these past weeks. I am greatful that no one was seriously harmed, that he’s been arrested & is safe.
The road to recovery & normalcy is long. The hardest parts of recovery is waking up to the reality of what you have done during drug driven psychosis. I pray he finds the help he needs to recover in full. Kendall has a lot to live for. He has a loving family & community.
