Florida woman arrested in stabbing murder of another woman in Jacksonville
On April 4, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3800 Block of Harbor View Court in reference to a reported stabbing.
Upon arriving on the scene, responders discovered their victim, described only as a white female. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased.
A second female believed to be the murder suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody prior to being transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The police investigation revealed the suspect and victim were known to each other and became involved in an altercation. The suspect ultimately stabbed the victim and as a result, has been arrested for murder.
The murder suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Latasha M. Lucas.
