Four Harford County teens arrested in connection to January 5 Aberdeen homicide
Just now, the Harford County Sherif’s Office (HCSO) announced that less than 24 hours after a homicide took the life of an 18-year-old in Aberdeen, Harford County detectives have filed charges against four individuals.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on January 5, at approximately 12:34 a.m., HCSO deputies responded to the 1300 block of N. Sewards Court in Aberdeen for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as Jaylen Jackson, 18, of Aberdeen, was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his foot. He has since been treated and released.
Also, in the basement of the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was Kylonne Taylor, 18, of Aberdeen, who was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by Ace News Today on January 5.
Early investigation indicated four individuals entered the residence while a birthday party was occurring. Once inside, an altercation occurred. During the altercation shots were fired striking Kylonne, killing him, and injuring Jaylen.
Later that night, after multiple interviews, search warrants, and the examination of evidence collected, Amir Dorsey, 18, and Quinton Jackson, 18, from Edgewood, were charged with illegal possession of ammunition. A 17-year-old juvenile from Abingdon, charged as an adult, and Tyjeir Cole 18, from Aberdeen, were both charged with 2nd degree murder.
During the collection of evidence, a handgun was located near the victim. That handgun has been reported as stolen from North Carolina. Detectives do not believe it was fired in this shooting. The handgun used in the murder has not been recovered, however, has been linked to a discharging in Baltimore City where no injuries were reported.
All suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Harford County Detention Center. Dorsey and Jackson have been released on their own recognizance. Cole and the juvenile suspect are being held without bail.
