Threats of violence against celebrities and politicians are not new occurrences and should never be tolerated.  Unfortunately, as the U.S. continues to deal with the “new normal,” those threats are increasing in number, nature and intensity.  This week, a man from Georgia was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG,) who received a disturbing phone call at her office on Wednesday, according to The Daily Beast. The office of the infamous Republican from Georgia shared a recording of the call, made by a severely disgruntled Georgia constituent, Sean Patrick Cirillo, who has since been taken into custody and charged with making the threats.

“Hey, I’m a major donor. Yeah, I got a bead on her. Like a sniper rifle. A sniper rifle. And I’m gonna kill her next week. I’m gonna shoot her in the f****** head and kill her.” he said in one of the calls.

“I’m going to kill her next week. I’m going to murder her. You’re going to die. Your family is going to die,” the caller said in the recording.

Greene thanked law enforcement officials who undertook the investigation and ultimately made the arrest, saying, “From Rome City Police, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Capitol Police, the House Sergeant at Arms, and ultimately the FBI who made the arrest, every official acted quickly to put this man behind bars.”

Cirillo, 34, of Macon, Georgia, made reference to wanting to get some “payback” in one of his calls and included MTG’s staffers in his death threats, saying, “I’ll kill you too, if you want.”  In that recording shared by Greene’s office with NBC News, the caller said, “You don’t think it’s going to happen when you are out of power?” and “You don’t think you are going to get payback?”

Local News X  shared that Cirillo is scheduled to appear in federal court on Monday.

You can hear the recording of Cirillo’s chilling, deranged, and psychotic threats below, where he even threatened to kill MTG’s grandchildren.
