As the Memorial Day  weekend got underway, news outlets began reporting that a Gold Alert had been issued for 17-year-old Charlotte Calvert of Front Royal, Virginia. “If a child with special needs or medical concerns is believed to have wandered off or is believed to be with a parent who is legally allowed to be with him or her, it will trigger a Silver or Golden Alert,” according to WHAS-11.

Charlotte was last seen in the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, area on May 25. Attempts to contact or locate her have been unsuccessful, and there is a deep concern for her safety and well-being.

Charlotte is described as a white female, approximately 5’06” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and braces. She was last seen wearing a light-colored short sleeve shirt, camouflage pants, dark-colored sneakers, and a purple backpack. She may also be riding a light blue bicycle with a front wicker basket.
