Because Ace News Today often covers the seedier side of events taking place in the world of Crimes and Courts, it’s a pleasure to also share some “feel good news,” especially when that news is associated with our local law enforcement officials.  This past Saturday evening, amidst the rain in Joppa, Maryland, Harford County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kyle Burns went above and beyond the call of duty. A local pizza delivery driver was involved in an accident, and after ensuring the driver was okay, Deputy Burns noticed the pizzas in the car.

Rather than letting the pizzas go to waste, Deputy Burns took it upon himself to deliver them to the intended recipients while they were still warm, ensuring their dinner plans were not disrupted.

The recipient of the pizzas wrote to the Sheriff’s Office to offer his thanks, stating: “I was so pleasantly surprised about all this and felt so fortunate to live in an area where people still do good things. I thanked Deputy Burns for the thoughtfulness. God bless our Sheriff Department [sic]”

The Sheriff’s Office announced that their office is “incredibly proud of Deputy Burns and the care he shows to our community. It’s acts of kindness like these that remind us why we serve. Thank you, Deputy Burns, for going above and beyond!”

Keep up the great work Deputy Burns and Best Wishes from Ace News Today!
